VP of Investment Research
Yi Qi is a Ph.D. candidate in Bioengineering at Penn with a B.S. degree in mathematical biology from William & Mary. He works in Dr. Laura Vella’s lab and focuses on developing new single cell tools to understand HIV persistence. He is also a junior fellow of the Penn Center for Innovation Fellowship Program that reviews inventions for technology licensing. He has been engaged in the PBG E-board since last year and participated in various organizing efforts to bridge the Penn research/medicine community with the broader biotech industry. In his free time, Yi enjoys cooking, playing tennis, cycling, and watching Formula 1 races.s and family, or all of the above.
