Behavioral Interview Strategies Workshop 2023

Behavioral Interview Strategies Workshop 2023

Behavioral Interview Strategies Workshop 2023

Job and internship interviews are a wonderful opportunity to connect your skills and experiences to the role you want, but don’t assume that you will be able to tell effective stories about yourself without a lot of preparation ahead of time. From answering what should be the easiest question (but isn’t) – tell me about yourself – to illustrating the skills and competencies that employers are seeking by giving examples of problem-solving, collaboration, effective communication, you will need time to prepare and practice.

Join Dr. Joseph Barber, Director of Graduate Career Initiatives from Penn Career Services to explore interviewing strategies and resources to help you feel confident in your next interviews.

In this presentation, you will gain insight into the types of questions that tend to be asked in any job/internship interview, and how to answer them, as well as learn about using the STAR approach to help you to answer behavioral interview questions effectively.

There will also be an opportunity for you to learn about the wide range of online resources provided by Penn Career Services that graduate students/postdocs can use to prepare for interviews.
