Renee-Tyler Morales
Renee is a 4th-year PhD candidate in Bioengineering in Dr. Jina Ko’s lab. His research focuses on developing high-throughput techniques to produce tumor organoids for precision medicine drug screenings. Before coming to Penn, Renee earned a BS in Biomolecular Science from New York University. He also received a MSE in Bioengineering from Penn where he developed ultrasensitive methods to profile the molecular makeup of single extracellular vesicles for disease diagnosis. Renee has been involved with Penn Biotech Group, having served as a team member on a pro bono consulting engagement with a molecular diagnostics startup. As VP of Alumni Relations, Renee is excited about building long-term professional relationships and connecting current members with alumni across the biotech community for access to mentorship and career opportunities. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, exploring new restaurants, binging TV/anime, and making Spotify playlists.
