Rahul is a fourth-year PhD candidate in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and is also pursuing a dual Master’s degree in Statistics and Data Science. His research in Dr. Amish Patel’s lab focuses on applying molecular dynamics simulations to investigate drug binding mechanisms and predict binding affinities. Before coming to Penn, Rahul earned a BS in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science from Louisiana State University. He has been involved with PBG for three years, during which he previously won the Penn Healthcare Case Competition and later helped organize it as Co-VP of Case Competition the following year. He is excited to continue supporting engaging projects and interdisciplinary collaboration within the organization. In his free time, he enjoys trying new restaurants around the city, traveling, and watching football.
