Jin Jiang
Jin is a Master’s student in Bioengineering at the University of Pennsylvania. She currently conducts research in Dr. Dani S. Bassett’s lab and Dr. Franz Weber’s lab, where her work broadly focuses on neuroscience, brain dynamics, and data-driven approaches to understanding neural systems. Prior to coming to Penn, Jin earned her B.S. from Penn State University, where she developed a strong foundation in biomedical engineering and gained research experience in biomedical imaging, optical elastography, ultrasound-based technologies, and tissue biomechanics. Through these experiences, she became interested in using engineering and computational approaches to better understand biological systems and support biomedical applications. As VP of Event Planning, Jin is excited to contribute to PBG by organizing events that bring students, researchers, and professionals together across biotech and healthcare. She hopes to help create welcoming and engaging opportunities for members to learn, network, and explore career paths in the life sciences industry. Outside of school, Jin enjoys trying new food, traveling, spending time with friends, and exploring Philadelphia.
