Jason is a third-year PhD candidate in Cancer Biology in Dr. Marco Ruella’s laboratory. He is a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow, and his research focuses on the intersection of cancer metabolism and immunotherapy. Specifically, he is interested in leveraging metabolic adjuvants to enhance Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T-cell function and improve therapeutic outcomes in lymphoma models. Before coming to Penn, Jason earned a BS in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology (MCDB) from the University of Michigan. He has been involved in PBG for two years, during which he has received the Best Team Member award, served as the Project Manager and Project Director on engagements spanning novel drug delivery platforms, business development, and patent landscaping. As the Director of Consulting, he is excited to leverage his experience at every level of PBG to build a more structured mentorship and training culture to ensure that every member, regardless of their background, leaves with the skill and confidence to thrive in biotech consulting. In his free time, Jason enjoys reading, running, playing basketball, exploring restaurants with friends and playing Catan.
