PBG’s Biotech Investment Research Program equips scientifically driven students with the skills and insight to break into careers at the intersection of life sciences and finance. Through a dynamic, expert-led lecture series, participants gain hands-on exposure to biotech investing, equity research, financial analysis, due diligence, and pitch development.
This year, our Investment Research teams will take the stage at the conference, showcasing high-potential biotech companies in immune-mediated inflammatory diseases in a live Stock Pitch Competition—where science meets strategy and innovation meets investment.

Biotech Investment Pitch Competition Overview
Each team will choose a public, pre-commercial biotech company focused on immune-mediated inflammatory disease, with no approved products and at least one Phase II or Phase III clinical asset. Teams will prepare a stock pitch evaluating the company as an investment opportunity, with financial analysis focused on the lead asset as the primary driver of value. Pitches should incorporate scientific diligence, clinical and regulatory assessment, competitive landscape analysis, market opportunity, and valuation. Each presentation should conclude with a clear investment recommendation supported by a bull, base, and bear case framework. The final presentation will be 10 min, followed by a 5 min Q&A from the judge panel.
