Alex is a rising third-year PhD student in the Neuroscience graduate group. Her research focuses on investigating rare pediatric neuroimmune disorders with a focus on understanding the role of glial cells under the mentorship of Dr. Mariko Bennett. Before joining Penn, Alex graduated from Wellesley College with a B.A in Neuroscience. She then completed an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree in Bioscience and Bioengineering Innovations for Precision Medicine at the University of Barcelona (Spain) and the University of Lausanne (Switzerland). She has been involved with PBG for two years, first as a team member consultant, and then joining the executive board as VP of Case Competition where she organized the 2025 Penn Healthcare Case Competition and was also involved with the inaugural 2025 Wharton Biotech Conference. In her free time, Alex is passionate about STEM advocacy, photography, content creation, and traveling.
