Brian Balisi is a second-year master’s student in Bioengineering and a 2026 Widjaja Engineering Entrepreneurship Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania. Before coming to Penn he earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology-Chemistry from Point Loma Nazarene University. He also spent a couple years in industry, working with lipid nanoparticle (LNP) vaccines at Arcturus Therapeutics and polymer-based drug delivery at Heron Therapeutics. Brian has been involved with Penn Biotech Group (PBG) as both a team member and project manager. During his time with the organization, he was recognized with the “Best Team Member” award. He is excited to continue supporting career development initiatives to provide Penn students with resources to be able to network, learn, and grow. In his free time, Brian enjoys staying active through climbing or running, watching movies, and traveling.
