Co-VP of Conference
Hua is a rising fourth-year Ph.D. student in Bioengineering. His research in Dr. Jina Ko’s lab spans developing platforms for molecular diagnostics and therapeutics, including a saliva-based platform for neuropsychiatric disorder detection and a novel microfluidic system for CAR-T cell engineering. Prior to Penn, Hua earned his B.S. in Bioengineering from UC Berkeley, where he received the Chair’s Award, and completed a minor in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science along with a Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Technology. He joined PBG as a consulting team member in Spring 2025. Outside the lab, Hua enjoys traveling, staying active, watching TV shows and soccer matches (#GGMU), and exploring new cuisines.
