VP of Curriculum


Sachin is a third-year Ph.D. candidate in Bioengineering at the University of Pennsylvania, where he develops technology to engineer synthetic kidney tissue. Prior to his Ph.D., Sachin co-founded Flora Bioworks, a microbiome informatics company backed by the Ted Rogers Center for Heart Research, and St. Michael's Hospital (Toronto) that he successfully led to clinical stage. He then transitioned to venture capital, investing in early-stage biotech and software companies. His notable exits include 1Mentor (acquired by Quacquarelli Symonds). Currently, Sachin is a Fellow at Orange Grove Bio and serves on the board of Nucleate Philly. He's also a co-founder of the popular "Biotech & Brews" event series, which has expanded to multiple cities nationwide. When he's not in the lab, Sachin enjoys traveling, canoeing, and playing guitar.
