Nalaka Gooneratne
Dr. Nalaka Gooneratne, MD, MSCE, is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Director of the Masters of Science in Translational Research—Entrepreneurship track at the University of Pennsylvania. He is the co-editor of the e-book Academic Entrepreneurship for Medical and Health Scientists, has received several NIH Phase 1/2 and Fast-Track SBIR/STTR grants, and has served as a study section chair for the NIH SBIR/STTR program. He also serves as the PI of the NIA R25 Entrepreneurship Education I2SEED program for Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias, and an MPI of an NIGMS R25 Medical Device Entrepreneurship Training program. He is also a board-certified sleep disorders physician and vice-chair of the Sleep Research Network.
