Linara Axanova

Lina Axanova, PhD, CLP

Lina is currently a Senior Associate Director at the Penn Center for Innovation (PCI) at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Lina is responsible for developing partnerships between the University and industry, licensing Penn’s technologies for commercial development, and facilitating startup formation based on university innovations. She manages an extensive portfolio of intellectual property spanning oncology, stem cell therapy, neuroscience, diagnostics, medical devices, and medical software. Lina leads the drafting and negotiation of collaboration agreements, sponsored research agreements, and license agreements with companies of all sizes, from early-stage startups to multinational corporations. She presents nationally and internationally on topics including business development, IP licensing, and startup formation. Lina received her M.S. degree from Kazan National Research Technological University and her PhD in Cancer Biology from Wake Forest University.
