Molly Eron

Molly is a second-year medical student at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania with broad interests in cardiovascular health, infectious disease, precision medicine, and the development of novel medical technologies. Her research spans clinical and translational medicine, including projects on adult congenital heart disease, methicillin-susceptible Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA) infections, chronic limb-threatening ischemia, and type 1 diabetes genetics at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Before medical school, Molly earned her B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Cornell University, where she conducted research on a 3D-printed intravaginal ring for contraception and HIV prevention and led a team of students in designing and prototyping multiple biomedical devices. A member of PBG for the past year, she is eager to generate interest in the group’s work and recruit new members from across Penn’s schools to tackle complex healthcare challenges through innovative, cross-disciplinary solutions. Outside of her academic and research pursuits, Molly enjoys running, baking, and playing tennis.
