Gabrielle Blizard
President
Gabrielle is a 4th year Ph.D. candidate in the Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics Graduate Group. Her thesis research focuses on imaging genetic medicines (e.g. mRNA-LNPs) for longitudinal monitoring of their trafficking, persistence, and function. Prior to Penn, Gabrielle graduated from UC San Diego with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology and an M.S. in Biology. She also conducted vaccine research at Scripps Research and learned molecular imaging with Invicro. Gabrielle has completed two past projects with PBG and looks forward to expanding PBG’s learning initiatives and skill-building workshops to make careers in the biotech space accessible to more students. In her free time, she enjoys reading, shopping, and petting cats.
