Fangxue (Yumi) Yan

Yumi Yan is a fifth-year Ph.D. candidate in Cancer Biology. Her research focuses on using high-throughput screen approaches to identify new therapeutic targets in blood cancer. Prior to Penn, she received her B.S. in Biological Sciences from Peking University in Beijing (China). Yumi is interested and dedicated to the development of cancer therapeutics, both the scientific side and the business side. She values what PBG provides: exposure to business and entrepreneurship concepts. In her free time, she enjoys science fiction, singing, swimming and playing pool.
