Amanda is an Immunology PhD candidate at the University of Pennsylvania, working in the lab of Dr. Carl June. Amanda graduated from Gettysburg College with a B.S. in Biology and minor in Chemistry and worked at Janssen Pharmaceuticals where she became passionate about translational potentials of cancer immunotherapy. Prior to her doctoral studies, she also worked in the Biomedical Engineering Department at Yale University, where she developed single-cell transcriptomic and proteomic devices to investigate CAR T cell biology. Finck's research currently focuses on enhancing the efficacy of CAR T cells against solid tumors, building on her background in cancer immunotherapy. In her free time she can be found kickboxing, exploring Philadelphia, spending time with friends and family, or all of the above.
