Alex is a second-year PhD student in the Neuroscience graduate group. She is interested in investigating interactions between the brain and immune system to identify therapeutic targets for neuroinflammation and rare pediatric neurological conditions. Before joining Penn, Alex graduated from Wellesley College with a B.A in Neuroscience. She then completed an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree in Bioscience and Bioengineering Innovations for Precision Medicine at the University of Barcelona (Spain) and the University of Lausanne (Switzerland). Outside of research, Alex is passionate about science outreach, photography, and content creation.
